Last week KINESIS network students from Università L'Orientale and the University of Navarra had an intensive summer course about social entrepreneurship. The students acquired knowledge about the characteristics of social enterprises, business development, and communication of social impact in order to establish their own social entrepreneurship projects. Students were encouraged to use their entrepreneurial and creative thinking. During the course, students had the opportunity to meet with two social entrepreneurs: Dianka Diaby Gassama, the founder of Africa's Capable social enterprise, and also Eveline Vente, CEO of Yanantin Alpaca.
At the end of the course, students presented their own project about young artists and their empowerment. The project provides guidance and support to artists through producing and selling sustainable clothing and accessories with their art. The project has a strong social impact to encourage artistic creativity and cultural conservation of vulnerable artists.
